The Spanish Institute of Navigation (INAVE) is a, nonprofit entity, whose mission is: “To provide the tools that make society more responsible and competitive in the arts, sciences and technologies of navigation.”
INAVE, created in 1998 as a private non-profit association, currently a member of both IAIN (International Association of Institutes of Navigation) and EUGIN (European Group of Institutes of Navigation), enhances the role of diffusion, dissemination and knowledge of the industry but the agency accredited assessor and consultant among the instruments and strategies for navigation, safety and mobility.”
Members: INAVE currently has 44 corporate members (companies, institutions, universities) as well as over 100 individual members, in Spain. Members of the corporate sector of the aviation, maritime, land and space segments (AENA and Iberia, GMV, Galileo Sistemas y Servicios, Deimos, among others), Institutions (National Geographic Institute, Catalan Institute of Cartography for instance) or centers of technological development and training (Technical University of Catalonia, Universidad de La Laguna, Institute of Geomatics, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Universidad Politecnica del País Vasco, etc.).
