Funding available to users interested in performing GPS/SBAS approaches
// mayo 12th, 2011 // Ciencia
The EC-funded project ACCEPTA, aimed at accelerating EGNOS adoption in the aviation sector, is making funding available to support, on the one hand, airlines to equip their fleet with GPS/SBAS enabled avionics and, on the other hand, Air Navigation Service Providers and airports to publish these procedures (LPV) in Europe.
The ACCEPTA project is particularly interested in achieving the wide implementation of EGNOS-enabled GPS approaches to European airports, where the SBAS signal is available and certified. It is also promoting and supporting the adoption of necessary GPS/EGNOS-ready avionics for commercial airlines, general aviation and other end users.
The project invites interested users to respond to the Competitive Call available at the project website http://accepta.ineco.es. Detailed information on the scope of the project, the available funding and guidelines for the accession of new beneficiaries to the project funding is available there. In addition, the project team will hold an Info Day on the 30th of June 2011 in Palma de Mallorca (Spain).
In order to promote this initiative, to better disseminate the project concept and to present the benefits demonstrated in previous activities, a User Forum will be held that day as well.
The Call for Participation and registration to this event are also available at the website.
